PR Log (Press Release) –
Jan 13, 2010 – Romance is alive and well in Huntington Village, NY, where shoppers can find the perfect Valentine’s Day gifts all featured on the popular Huntington Hot List, a cheat-sheet of must-have items, signature styles, exceptional services and choice places to be seen – exclusively available in Huntington, NY.
Encouraging shoppers to “keep it local,” the Huntington Hot List was developed by Huntington business Spa Adriana, the award-winning Aveda lifestyle salon and spa. Spa Adriana is featuring a signature “Love is in the Hair” beauty collection specifically designed for the Hot List.
“The success of one business helps ensure the success of all businesses, and the success of the community as a whole. And Huntington has so much to offer, with fine restaurants, upscale boutiques and of course wonderful beauty and spa offerings,” said John S. Vater, co-founder of Spa Adriana and also a member of the Village Merchant’s Committee for the Huntington Chamber of Commerce.
“We encourage everyone to Buy Locally. Huntington Village provides the perfect venue to find an abundance of unique gifts and rare treasures which make great presents for everyone,” said Bob Bontempi, Chairman of the Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce. “Businesses in the Huntington Hot List have created a successful strategy to join hands and work together as a community, to support success for all. I applaud their efforts. Shopping locally benefits everybody.”
Recently, Huntington Hot List businesses participated in a photo shoot at The Heckscher Museum of Art to showcase their romance-inspired offerings against the backdrop of the Museum’s collections now on display. Spa Adriana provided the hair, makeup, set design and photography.
“It is wonderful to be able to shoot our art for hair design, color and makeup along with the latest fashion trends and jewelry in such a spectacular venue right in the heart of Huntington Village,” continued Vater. “As with fashion, every season there are changes in the collections at The Heckscher Museum that give fresh inspiration to artists and art lovers alike. And, working as a husband-and-wife team, our art ties in perfectly with the Museum’s Couples: The Art of Attraction exhibit.”

BEAUTY
Spa Adriana – Signature “Romance is in the Hair” Collection
It’s love at first sight at Spa Adriana with the “Love is in the Hair” collection, brightening hair that’s been dulled by the hats and hoods of winter season. Beachy beige blondes highlighted with hair color – not bleach – emulate the sun’s golden gifts without the damage, delivering natural-looking results. Faded auburn hues are color cleansed with light, translucent reds for fresh and youthful vibrance. Turn up the heat with heart-racing Red Violet tones, flirty seductive bangs, playfully lined eyes, rose petal cheeks and lips as ripe as a cherry bud. Get the look now only at Spa Adriana.
