Credit Crunch Sends Fruit Liqueur Sales Skywards

PRLog (Press Release) – Nov 20, 2009 – The Credit Crunch has sent sales soaring by an astonishing 30 per cent at Cheshire based fruit liqueur and cocktail maker My Gineration, according to founder and MD Rosie Sedgwick.

Recession-hit consumers may be cutting back in most areas of domestic spending but many are still determined to enjoy their favourite ‘little luxuries’ especially those that are relatively inexpensive, said the former hospital pharmacist turned drinks maker.

“We believe that all the drinks in our range of steeped liqueurs and cocktails have the taste that makes you go ‘ooh’,” added Rosie from her office in the village of Mollington, near Chester. “And our regular customers seem unwilling to give up their little treat no matter how tough trading conditions become.

“When times are difficult we all want something that will make us feel better, raise our spirits. And I’m delighted to report that our loyal customers are finding My Gineration products are helping them get through the recessionary gloom.”

Rosie turned her long-time passion and hobby for making fruit drinks into a fully fledged business four years ago. Her home made fruit liqueurs had already become popular with locals but when legendary Cheshire businessman Peter Paprill – better known as the cheese detective - declared her passion fruit gin as the best he had tasted, My Gineration was born.

The business has grown steadily since then with more than 30 retail outlets across the North West stocking My Gineration drinks as well as three in Scotland and one in York. The www.mygineration.co.uk  website enables customers to order on-line products that have won a clutch of awards.

“Our company mission has always been to focus on the creation of high-quality fruit liqueurs and cocktails made with the best possible local produce that are packed full of flavour,” added Rosie. “Happily these drinks with the taste that make you go ‘ooh’ have found a very loyal following.

“Hopefully the fact that we sell our miniatures for just £4, 100ml bottles for £8 and the 200 mls for just £12 means they remain great value for money even in this recession.”
