Dec 13, 2009 – 24/Twenty-Four Hours Seasons is a TV series of true time --- every episode lasts for one hour and covers one hour. There are 24 episodes and the story develops in 24 hours. Therefore audience go through the same mental experience as the characters do. All complicated clues and suspicions gradually unfold; when the last moment comes, everything is clear and all crises are smoothly solved. People cannot take a breath in its scary and intense atmosphere.

Jack Bauer is the leading actor in 24/Twenty-Four Hours Seasons. He's the leader of CTU, a so-called "born killer" as the head of the assassination organization in the series said. When Jack sits in his SUV and watches his daughter afar off gently, he is a most loving father; when Jack is on a plane and crushes his former lover with his hands to extort a confession, he is a cold man. However, I find him a top excellent agent of decision. He does not follow the old routines and never makes two bites at a cherry. Jack is a cold man and he is more of a rebel. CTU are not a group of muscle men who mark their faces or exercise their bodies all day as what as we imagine. Quite the opposite, men and women in that large and dark open-office are more like an efficient group consisting of a crowd of hackers.
In 24/Twenty-Four Hours, in order to find the clues, when Jack guns down suspects without hesitation in CTU headquarter and cuts off his head for an appointment; when Jack teaches his daughter to shoot the murderer in front of her on the telephone and encourages her to advance to shoot again to confirm his death; you will see such a way to become a hero and you may call it hard-bitten. However, the more exact word to describe is cold-blooded. Jack brings us a different hero, a cold-blooded hero. Jack, a man who has little mercy on enemies. In front of such a hard and sharp stone, no matter who is the enemy, he will have to suffer boundless horror and pain. So Jack saves the Present and saves the United States.
There are several main lines developing at the same time. The director adopted separate pictures just like the film to display the developments in different places at the same time. It makes audience have a more real-life experience and more easily be attracted by the plots. Even to the event happened in the same place, it is displayed through multi-angle and audience feel as if they were there. The director was unsparing in his demands for perfection to each scene.
