Mad-March! Mad Hatters Tea Party Comes To Glasgow..

PR Log (Press Release) – Mar 12, 2010 – When Lewis Carroll wrote the children’s classic Alice in Wonderland back in 1865 it became an instant hit and has stood the test of time. This tale of the little girl who fell through the rabbit hole into a land of excitement and fantasy has captured the imagination of generations of both adults and children that continues to this day.

Carroll’s tale of Alice and her adventures in wonderland has inspired many adaptations throughout the years which have only led to the growth of the story’s popularity. None more so that Disney’s 1951 animated adaptation of the classic tale which brought the story to the masses through Disney’s popular animated cartoon empire.  Alice and Wonderland brought so much success to the Disney group they have re-made it with the help of the Nightmare before Christmas’ Tim Burton. Tim Burton, known for his gothic and alternative adaptation of Charlie and the Chocolate factory has brought a new lease of life to Carroll’s story and has created a new gothic version.

The new movie adaptation is being set for release on the 5th of March 2010 and focuses on a grown up Alice as she returns to Wonderland where she once visited as a child but no longer remembers her time there. The film is set to be a massive hit with cinemas showing it up and down the country including Cineworld in Glasgow- the world’s tallest and busiest cinema.

In order to celebrate this marvellous tale the Argyll Hotel, Glasgow is hosting its very own Mad Hatters Tea Party! A party to celebrate all things mad and wonderful! This prominent Glasgow Hotel will be providing an afternoon of tea, cakes and mayhem in the wonderful Vintage tearoom located in the popular Sutherlands restaurant.

The Argyll Hotel’s Mad Hatter’s Tea Party will be the opening day of the hotels new High Tea service which will be designed to be an alternative to a normal pub lunch that one would normal find in Glasgow. This service will include finger sandwiches, cakes, homemade biscuits and chocolate with lashings and lashings of tea!

So don’t be late for this very important date!
